    1 Minute Read

Amber W. Childs, PhD, associate professor of psychiatry, has been appointed to serve on the Forum for Children's Wellbeing of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.

The organization works to advance effective, affordable, and equitable systems that promote wellbeing. It fosters evidence-informed prevention, treatment, and implementation research and practice, and includes a multistakeholder group of scientists, practitioners, decision makers, thought leaders, and youth and family representatives.

Childs is one of three new members. She was nominated for appointment by colleagues for her contributions to digital innovation and large-scale evidence-based implementation in youth mental health.

Her three-year term begins June 2 with a Leadership Summit titled, “Defining Quality Together: Youth, Parent & Practitioner Perspectives on Digital Mental Health Tools.”
