    Cayir Receives Early Career Investigator Travel Award

    Salih Cayir, MD, postdoctoral associate, has been selected to receive an Early Career Investigator Travel Award for the Brain & Brain PET 2025 conference.

    Sponsored by the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism, the conference will be held June 1-4 in Seoul, South Korea.

    Salih will present “Synaptic Density Differences Between Parkinson’s Disease Patients with and without REM Sleep Behavior Disorder Symptoms.”

    At Yale, he is clinically engaged in translational neuroimaging research that is focused on developing new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for various neuropsychiatric disorders. His work leverages advanced PET imaging technologies to study the function of crucial neuroreceptors, including SV2A, which is related to synaptic density.
