    Asch Chosen to Receive YCCI Scholar Award

    Ruth Asch, PhD, associate research scientist in psychiatry, is a 2023 recipient of a Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI) Scholar Award.

    The 24-month award is funded by the National Institutes of Health National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. It is intended to assist Asch in developing her career as a clinical/translational scientist through salary support, protected time to conduct research, assistance in preparing data for publication and grant applications, and help in beginning to establish an independent research program.

    The title of her funded research project is, “Longitudinal evaluation of synaptic changes during chronic stress using in vivo SV2A PET.”

    Asch will additionally participate in Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) meetings annually and attend local YCCI educational events, including Yale-Rockefeller Day, YCCI Scholar Day, and the Janeway Society Annual Retreat.
