Yale School of Medicine Alumni Reunite for 2025 Celebration Weekend as Beloved Clambake Tradition Makes a Joyful Return

2 Minute Read

Alumni from around the world signed up to be part of the memories, the laughter, and the legacy. Alumni from class years ending in 0s and 5s, along with their guests, reunited with classmates, faculty, and friends over two joyous days, May 30–31. They returned to campus to celebrate their milestone reunions and create new memories. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the reunion Program and Gift Chairs who helped support this effort and all who joined us!

The weekend’s festivities began with the return of the Alumni Clambake on Cedar Street—a delicious kickoff that offered the perfect opportunity to reconnect.

Reunion Weekend officially began with campus tours, where attendees explored the latest innovations at Yale School of Medicine (YSM). Highlights included a visit to Brain Works, a cutting-edge facility opened in 2023 for studying brain function, and demonstrations of high-tech mannequins at the Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation.

Saturday morning started with a hearty breakfast and the State of the School address from Nancy J. Brown, MD, the Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of Yale School of Medicine. The Annual Meeting of the Association of Yale Alumni in Medicine (AYAM) focused on service to YSM and its students entering the medical profession. During the meeting, the Class of 1975 was inducted into the Kushlan Society, named in honor of longtime Yale faculty member Samuel Kushlan, MD ’35. Additionally, Mark L. Meyer, MD ’94, JD ’98, and Dora-Linda Wang, MD ’90, received the Distinguished Service Alumni Award.

The morning sessions concluded with A Conversation: The Yale System and the Medical Student Experience Today featuring Sarwat Chaudry, MD, associate dean for student research; John Francis, MD, associate dean for student affairs; Katrine Madsen, MD ’26 (candidate), and Morgan Brinker, MD ’27 (candidate). A midday barbecue lunch paved the way for a relaxed afternoon of hybrid class meetings, tours of the anatomy lab; and a festive evening of class dinners held at the Elm City Club, Mory’s, Bar, and the Whitney Center for the Class of 1955.

We look forward to welcoming you back for our next Reunion Weekend on May 29-30, 2026!
