His years at Yale’s medical school were a source of pride and joy throughout his life. He chose to use his expertise to serve an at risk community in Waukegan, IL, where he was a beloved pediatrician and model to other doctors. Upon his death I received a letter from one of his younger partners. She told me that when my dad retired she took the notebook he kept with all the difficult diagnosis he made throughout his career. Diagnosis that Yale taught him to make. She used this throughout her career as a guide for her own expertise.

The wisdom he gained at Yale he passed onto doctors far from Yale. In this way your expertise served many beyond those who can make it to your campus.
